In my defence, haha.
Instagram has been feeding me such wonderful supportive posts lately, seemingly based on the pain I have been feeling. But there is nothing better than comedy for healing, am I right?

There is something so healing about the smell of the salt water and the warmth of the sunshine on my skin. The wonderful sea breeze blows away all my pain. And this combination of all my senses together makes me feel like I can put myself back together again.… Read the rest
The other thing that I have been thinking of in terms of psychology lately, is the idea of memento mori. I have heard a few great thinkers say that it is important to ponder on the inevitability of one’s own death every single day.… Read the rest
It is so strange to reflect on what this relatively new internet communication connection is doing to my psychology. One thing that I am noticing about the way I operate in the world when I am suffering from psychosis is that I become extremely RISK AVERSE.
If the average person’s desire to avoid losses is twice as much as their desire to take a risk, then I think that perhaps during psychosis my desire to avoid losses is maybe ten TIMES as much as the desire to take a risk.… Read the rest
Something about my NDIS support shift this afternoon made me think about how I can engage in professional development in my mental health support work. I want to have a real impact on my client’s life.

Are you feeling sad today? I can empathise. I have been feeling sad lately too. Someone who had made me feel like they cared for me, left me suddenly and I have had feeling sad thoughts ever since. I am starting to come good, but I thought I would share some of the things that helped me.… Read the rest
